CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police say thanks to the help of a Walmart customer they quickly caught up with two thieves.

Officers say the couple stole a toothbrush and electric drill from the store on Staples and Carmel Parkway.

Officials tell us the customer called police right away when he saw the woman put the merchandise in her purse and walk out with the man.

The customer apparently followed the couple to the parking lot and led police right to them.

Officers arrested the man and woman and say the man will receive additional charges for having marijuana in his pocket.
