Walgreens Offering Free Flu Shots to Uninsured

CORPUS CHRISTI - Flu season has come early this year and Texas is one of the states being hit hard.

According to the local health department, 43 people were diagnosed with the flu last November.

Officials recommend anyone 6-months or older get a flu shot.

Tuesday and Wednesday, Walgreens will offer free health screening and flu shots to anyone who doesn't have health insurance.

It's part of Walgreens' "Way to Well Health" tour.

The mobile clinic will be at the Walgreens store at 5702 Weber Road Tuesday from 11am to 5pm.

On Wednesday crews will be out at the store at 3750 South Staples Street from 11am until 5pm.
