Visually Impaired Ingleside Man Hit by Tanker Truck at Night

Visually Impaired Man Hit Along Highway 361

INGLESIDE - A 44-year-old visually impaired man is dead after being hit by a tanker truck early this morning along Highway 361 in Ingleside.

Authorities say Paul Beers was wearing dark clothing as he was standing in the middle of the road around 2:00 a.m. when the truck came through. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Beers lived at an apartment complex right off the road.

The truck driver, a 57-year-old man from San Antonio, is not facing charges for the incident.
