Want a refreshing after-school treat after a long day at school? Go bananas! Here’s what you need to make one of our Easy Freeze-y Banana Pops!
Ingredients
8 Popsicle sticks
4 bananas
2 cups chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
1. Peel bananas and cut each in half. Insert a Popsicle stick about halfway into the cut end of each banana.
2. In a glass container, melt the chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave on high. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted.
3. Dip bananas in chocolate, and then roll in chopped nuts. Place bananas on a baking sheet lined with wax paper and store them in the freezer until frozen (about one hour). Once they’re frozen, take the bananas out and enjoy!
