Video of Attack Posted on Facebook

CORPUS CHRISTI - Corpus Christi police say they're plan to investigate an assault caught on tape and posted on Facebook. The video, posted on Facebook by Manuel Moya, shows a man beating someone up who looks like teenager.

"I don't want to fight you man," you can hear the young man say.
In the video you can hear the person wearing white say he doesn't want to fight and he's scared of the other man right before the man slugs him.
On Facebook, the post says "This is what happens wen usteal from your parents."
Comments on the video call the victim a "scary boy," others wrote the video was "funny," while some showed displeasure with the act of violence. Most surprising, however, is a person under the alias "KillThem WithKindness" who claims to be the victim's mother and wrote that she was the one who orchestrated the beating. After showing the video to Captain Michael Alanis, CCPD, he said, "The video is very disturbing and it's something that, number one, we have to find out where that video was shot."

The man who posted the video has a Facebook page that says he's 19 years old and lives in Corpus Christi. His job title says he's a "Supplier at Tha Hood." Captain Alanis says if Manuel Moya is the man attacking the other man in the video, he could face assault charges or worse.

"The suspect that says he's about 19 years old," said Captain Alanis. "He's an adult so something like that, you know, you're looking at assault at minimum, that could be injury to a child."
He said it all depends on the injuries the victim sustained and the actual age of that victim. As for the person claiming to be the victim's mother, if that's true, Captain Alanis said she could also face charges for either being an accomplice or refusing to intervene.
