Victims Identified In Fatal Plane Crash

DALLAS - Authorities have identified the four people killed in the crash of a small plane that went missing after departing from a regional airport near Roanoke, a newspaper reported Sunday.
The Beechcraft Bonanza took off Saturday morning from the Northwest Regional Airport near Roanoke and disappeared about 25 miles southeast of Terrell, according to Lynn Lunsford of the Federal Aviation Administration.
Lunsford said a search began after air traffic controllers lost radar and radio contact with the plane. He said a Texas Department of Safety helicopter that took part in the search found the plane Saturday evening near Terrell.
All the dead were aboard the aircraft.
The Dallas Morning News identified the victims Sunday afternoon, citing Ronnie Daniell, a Van Zandt County justice of the peace. They are Leonard Ledet, 60, his 62-year-old brother, Gregory Ledet, and his sons, Mason Ledet and Paul Ledet.
Paul Ledet was a junior at Carroll Senior High School, and Mason Ledet was an eighth grader at Carroll Middle School.
The newspaper said Carroll Independent School District has sent an email to families, asking them to keep the Ledet family in their thoughts and prayers.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash, along with the Federal Aviation Authority.
