CORPUS CHRISTI - Since 1946, the Veterans Land Board has worked to administer benefits exclusively for Texas veterans. That will continue this Saturday, September 21, when the VLB hosts a "come-and-go" benefits fair to showcase resources available to veterans here in the Coastal Bend.
According to Marketing Manager Jim Bob Mickler, VLB staff, as well as representatives from the Texas Veterans Commission, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Small Business Administration and Social Security Administration, will provide a relaxed, one-stop location for information on disability and pension claims, home, land and home improvement loans, state veterans homes and cemeteries. Texas veterans can also find up-to-date news about employment and education benefits.
The event is happening at the Solomon Ortiz International Center (402 Harbor in Corpus Christi) from 10 AM - 2 PM.
