CORPUS CHRISTI- We continue to be on the edge of a large upper level high that has been producing mainly dry and very hot temperatures along with lighter than normal winds. The dry high will be moving north and opening up the Gulf allowing tropical moisture accompanied by scattered showers to move into the area next week.
Friday and Saturday will be mostly sunny to sunny light winds outside of an afternoon sea breeze blistering hot with near record high heat and a high today of 99 and 100 on Saturday.
Tonight expect tranquil conditions with mainly clear skies and a seasonal low of 75.
Sunday we will have a few more clouds but still lots of sun and generally light winds with a high of 97.
Showers return to the forecast on Monday.
