Valencia Charged with 3rd DWI for Crosstown Expressway Crash

CORPUS CHRISTI - Raul Valencia, 32, faces a charge of driving while intoxicated after he flipped his truck on the Crosstown Expressway at the Comanche exit on Sunday.

Police say Valencia changed lanes, hit the inside wall, and flipped his truck - which then hit a Jeep. Valencia was not injured while his female passenger had only minor injuries.

Valencia's charged with felony DWI due to two prior convictions. He also had a warrant out for his for violating his probation. Police say Valencia does not have a valid drivers license.

According to online court records, Valencia has a lengthy criminal history, including charges of: driving while intoxicated, evading arrest, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, possession of marijuana, terroristic threats, injury to a child, and deadly conduct (discharging a firearm within city limits).
