Universal Holding Their Own in Little League World Series

PENNSYLVANIA - The first Corpus Christi team to make it to the Little League World Series ran into some trouble in the first inning as the team from Washington jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead.

The Universal Little League All Stars, representing the Southwest, held on and now trail 5-4 in the top of the 5th. The team from Washington ran into some trouble with a relief pitcher which allowed Universal to advance runners with solid hitting and walks.

The lead was double by the top of the 6th with Washington taking the game 8-4.

Our Drew Collins is in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the game. We'll have all the highlights and post game interviews from the players coming up tonight on KRIS 6 News and Action 10 News.

A big thank you to Mattress Firm for making Drew's trip to the Little League World Series happen.
