Two Teens Wanted for Robbery, Vandalism in Odem

ODEM -- The San Patricio Sheriff's Office is searching for two teenage boys who witnesses say robbed two people and vandalized cars last night in Odem at the junior high.
Officers were patrolling the neighborhood around Odem Middle School, searching for two male suspects. School officials say they heard about the armed robberies.
"I found out early this morning that there had been some activities that went on last night," an Odem official said.
Odem Middle School is a gun free campus but officers say two people were held up at gunpoint there during last night's basketball game.
"Some money allegedly was taken from one of our employee and there were some broken windows on a vehicle," Odem official added.
Officers didn't confirm if one of the robbery victims was in fact a school employee but did confirm that the two teenagers they are looking for were were on school grounds. Now school officials plan to amp up security.
"We're going to increase security at our future ball games," Odem official said.
Officers believe the same two boys involved in the robberies also vandalized cars by busting out their windows.
Neighbors living near the school are glad to hear about the extra security after something like this.
"I'm worried about kids with guns, I wouldn't want to be face with something like that," a neighbor said.
Officers say when they catch the two suspects, they will face some pretty serious charges.
As for the safety of students and staff at the middle school, officials there believe the situation is under control.
"I've been assured that its all been turned over to the police department and they're going to take care of it," an Odem official said.
