Two Police Officers Credited with Saving Man's Life

CORPUS CHRISTI- Two police officers are credited with saving the life of a 38-year-old man who was threatening to jump off a downtown building.

The man somehow got inside the Trinity Towers complex on Upper Broadway late Sunday afternoon. While inside, he managed to find the roof and threatened to jump off the 19 story building.

Officers were called to the building just before six, and two officers were able to respond quickly, get to the roof and begin talking to the distraught man.

The man, on several occasions, walked to the edge of the roof, before surrendering to officers more than 30 minutes later.

The man was not hurt and was taken to the hospital for mental health treatment.

Officers don't know what triggered the man's attempt.
