CORPUS CHRISTI - Firefighters put out a fire small fire at a home on Ohio Avenue near Santa Fe. Around ten this morning, the woman living there says she walked out of the bathroom and saw smoke.
It turns out that her TV was on fire. A neighbor tried to help put out the fire, but was overcome by smoke.
Fire crews had the fire out in six minutes upon their arrival. Fire officials believe the fire may have been electrical, but the official cause is under investigation.
There's no major damage to the home, but the utilities had to be cut off. As such, the landlord and firefighters told everyone there they could not stay in the home.
That leaves the 2 adults and six children in the main house, plus the 2 people living in the garage apartment, without a place to stay for now.
The Red Cross stepped in to provide food, infant formula, and temporary lodging.
