Truck Pulls Down Signal Lights and Power Pole On FM624 Blocking Traffic

CALALLEN -- Police say a big rig -- trying to cross an intersection -- tore down a the signal lights and a power pole they were wired to.

It happened this afternoon on Northwest Boulevard (FM 624) @ Wood River Drive in Calallen area of Corpus Christi.

Police say the 18 wheeler's cargo hit the powel line, causing the pole to fall over.

The road was shut down, as police sent traffic through the River Hills neighborhood, for quite a while so the mess could be cleaned up.

No one was hurt.
