CORPUS CHRISTI - Police were called to the Packery Channel near J.P. Luby Park early this morning after a truck went into the water. It happened around 3:30am. When they arrived on the scene police found a brown Chevy truck under water.
The 25-year old driver said he was heading south down the beach and didn't see the jetties before driving into the channel.
The driver and his 21-year old passenger were treated at the scene. The driver was not cited but the case remains under investigation.
