CORPUS CHRISTI - A water truck rolled over on the Joe Fulton Corridor this morning.
The driver told police that two tractor trailers were coming up behind his truck, so he pulled onto the shoulder to let them pass.
One of the trucks got too close causing his right rear tire to go into the grass. He overcorrected, lost control, and flipped his truck onto its side.
The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Port Police say that driving on the shoulder is not allowed on the Joe Fulton corridor, and the driver was speeding. No word on whether he received a ticket.
