Truck Driver Killed in I-37 Crash Identified

Truck Driver Killed in Interstate 37 Crash

THREE RIVERS - A crash on Interstate 37 just outside of Three Rivers has claimed the life of a driver for food supplier, Ben E. Keith.

A Department of Public Safety Trooper at the scene says it appears 42-year-old Miguel Rivera Jr. of Corpus Christi may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

The truck swerved into the median before heading down a concrete embankment. A fuel tank ruptured and the entire rig was engulfed in flames.

I-37 was shut down for two hours as crews cleared the wreckage.
