Tropical Storm Barry Heads for Mexican Coast

VERACRUZ, Mexico (AP) - Tropical Storm Barry is bearing down on Mexico's Gulf Coast and is expected to make landfall within hours.

The National Hurricane Center says the storm is about 30 miles north of the port city of Veracruz and is heading west at 5 mph.

It has sustained winds of 45 mph. Forecasters say Barry could cause life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides.
