CORPUS CHRISTI- Moist tropical air continues to invade south Texas. The dry upper level high has backed away from the area allowing the tropical tap to be turned on. That means we will have several consecutive days of scattered showers and thundershowers and eventually the entire coastal bend will participate in much needed rainfall. Because of the tropical nature of the rain some of it will be locally heavy.
A tropical low in the S.W. Gulf may develop into a depression on Friday before going inland well south of us in Mexico.
Friday expect scattered thundershowers around variable sunshine hot and humid with a high of 93. Rain will move slowly inland during the course of the day.
Tonight will be quiet with fair skies then showers will develop near the coast after midnight and a low of 76.
Saturday expect scattered to numerous showers and thundershowers with mostly cloudy skies and a high only near 90.
More rainfall activity is expect on Sunday but scattered in nature so outdoor plans may be interrupted but not a washout.
Enjoy the rain and your weekend.
***if the scattered showers miss your location this weekend there is plenty more coming next week.****
