CORPUS CHRISTI - The suspected drunk driver, who slammed into 3 people pushing a stalled car is now headed to trial.
A Nueces County grand jury decided there was enough evidence to charge 29-year old Adrian Garza with intoxication assault.
Back in March he crashed into a stalled car on South Staples near Lipes and seriously injured 2 men.
One of the victims was Johans Bravo, a football player for the Bonecrushers, who had stopped to help.
He was helping James Thomson push the car and they both had to have a leg amputated because of their injuries.
A woman in the car when it was hit escaped with minor injuries.
If he's convicted, Garza could serve up to 10 years in prison.
