CORPUS CHRISTI- In spite of a weak front stalled in the area we had sunny skies today and continued hot temperatures with an afternoon high of 97. Very dry air in the upper atmosphere will combine with very light winds at the surface to produce near record lows the next three nights before tropical moisture and increasing winds return to the area by this weekend. Once that happens we will have another shot at some showers.
Tonight will be mainly clear with a few high clouds calm and quiet and cooler with a low of 71.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny and hot with light winds and low humidity and highs near seasonal levels with a high Tuesday of 95 and 94 on Wednesday.
The 4th of July looks great for summertime outdoor activities.
