NUECES COUNTY - A single-wide trailer home on County Road 55 burned to the ground around 11 a.m.. Sparks from a power pole may have started the fire.
We spoke with the property owner, who tells us that they have had problems with the power pole sparking in the past and have called the company out to fix it.
But fire officials say they believe the sparks are the most likely cause of the fire.
Despite the strong winds, crews were able to put the flames out, but not before the trailer was destroyed.
The property owner tells us he was halfway through remodeling the trailer for his brother to move in.
