Trailer Catches On Fire In Portland

Trailer Destroyed in Fire Near Indian Point Pier

PORTLAND -- Portland firefighters put out a fire off 181 right by Indian Point Pier this afternoon.

The fire captain said a car trailer -- pulled by a truck -- caught fire.

The driver saw the smoke and pulled over.

When he opened the trailer, it fueled the fire and flames engulfed the trailer.

Firefighters put out the fire quickly.

No one was hurt, but the trailer was destroyed and the truck's damaged.

Investigators don't know what caused the fire.
