CORPUS CHRISTI - A tow truck driver for Lone Star Wrecker service had an unexpected surprise this morning when he found a Chihuahua mix still inside a truck he towed overnight from an apartment complex.
Officials would not tell us why the truck was towed, or where from, but said the dog was found as the driver checked the vehicles this morning.
The pooch was apparently asleep in the truck when it was towed. There's a little blanket inside the vehicle for him.
Late this afternoon the owners of the dog stopped by Corpus Christi Animal Care Services to claim the dog. We're told their from out of town.
