CORPUS CHRISTI - The man accused of robbing Tobacco Junction at 4636 Ayers Street is now in police custody. He's headed back to the store, presumably for identification by the victim.
Officers shut down the neighborhood near the shop for more than an hour as they searched for the suspect who got away with hundreds of dollars in cash from the shop.
A public advisory was sent out at 9:48 a.m. recommending residents and schools in the area keep everyone inside as they searched for the man.
The suspect taken into custody was wearing a white undershirt and short pants when captured. Police had described the suspect as a man wearing a blue jumpsuit.
