Tip from Massachusetts Leads to Sex Assault Arrest in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI - A tip from police in New Bedford, Massachusetts led detectives in Corpus Christi to look at Orlando Robles as a suspect in sexual assaults in town.

Lt. Kelly Isaacks with the CCPD says the out-of-state officers called detectives to ask if there were any unsolved sexual assault cases with similarities to cases in Massachusetts.

According to police, Robles moved to Rockport back in July.

Late Friday evening, CCPD announced Robles is their suspect in the September sexual assault of a woman followed from Cole Park by a man who claimed he was going to help her with car trouble. The next day there was an attempted sexual assault at Leopard and Villa.

Robles is being held in the Nueces County Jail on one million dollars in bond.
