Time to Reload: Gun Owners Reusing Cartridges

CORPUS CHRISTI - With some bullets in short supply, some gun owners are reloading their ammunition rather than buying it new. But its getting more difficult to get your hands on the supplies.

At Sharp Shooters in Corpus Christi, supplies to make reloaded ammunition is a big seller. For a regular shooter, its cheaper than buying new, but be prepared to shell out a few hundred bucks just to get started.

In the long run, reloads are estimated to cost about one-third the price of new ammunition. So it could save you money depending on how much you shoot, but how safe is it? store manager, Danny Garcia says there are a number of things to keep in mind when reloading ammo. Bottom line...take time to learn the process before you do it.
