GREGORY - Time is up for the owners of junk cars in Gregory. The new chief of police says the cleanup of abandoned cars could get underway by the end of the week.
Back in july, he launched a crackdown on abandoned cars, trucks, boats, Rvs and other equipment. Owners were given 45 days to get rid of the eyesores.
If not, the vehicle would be removed and they would received a $200 fine.
The chief says the efforts taken more than 45 days due to how often the municipal court is in session. On Thursday, a judge is expected to sign paperwork to start removing vehicles and citing property owners.
