BROWNSVILLE - Three people were rushed to the hospital after a suspicious package exploded in their Brownsville home this morning.

Action 4 News (valleycentral.com) reports two adults and a young child suffered second degree burns. The family found the package outside the home, but took it inside so they could open it in the kitchen.

Investigators told local media the device delivered a 65-pound explosion. The bomb squad sent a robot into the home to check for other devices after the patients were treated. Federal agents are at the home assisting in the investigation.
