CORPUS CHRISTI - The community continues to mourn the loss of a local store owner Benjamin Mustafa shot and killed during a robbery.
The 59-year-old was behind the counter at Tim's Market when police say two masked men entered the store armed with a rifle.
Mustafa was mortally wounded. Police have not released any information on whether he had a weapon to defend himself. Years ago, Mustafa told KRIS 6 News he is a concealed handgun license owner just for the purpose of defending himself in the store.
Within an hour of the shooting police tracked down a red four door car seen leaving the scene. 26-year-olds Del Victoria Cavazos, Arturo Navarro, and Daniel Garcia were arrested and charged with capital murder.
Garcia and Navarro had their bond set at $1.5 million. Cavazos was given a million dollar bond.
