Three Accused of Shooting at Auto Burglary Witness

CORPUS CHRISTI - Two men and one woman are facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly shooting at someone following them after an auto burglary.

According to police, the witness says Michael Martin, Alexa Barnett and David Davila were breaking into a neighbor's truck at the Wharf Apartments before midnight.

The witness followed the trio and called 911, but put themselves in considerable danger when the suspects allegedly shot at them.

Officers eventually caught up with all three after they ran into an home at the Castle Park Apartments on Waldron Road. The person who lives there helped out police.

Investigators say stolen items were found after they made the arrests, but they don't know where the stuff came from.
