CORPUS CHRISTI - A spokesman for American Electric Power (AEP) says 6,129 customers are without power in Corpus Christi due to a likely transformer malfunction.
The problem first popped up along Flynn Parkway, but lead to a safety system kicking in and shutting down systems at the substation on Holly.
Crews are already working on the issue. Power could be restored in an hour.
