CORPUS CHRISTI - Thieves got away with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise after breaking into an auto shop late last night.
Luis Villalobos, owner of Master Auto Service said, "This year, this is the second time, the third time actually."
Sometime Wednesday night, thieves broke through this fence and went straight for the vehicles parked in the lot.
They broke the window of Luis' own truck and ripped out the stereo. But they weren't even close to done.
"They took all the emblems from the Corvette and they took the carburetor . They had the time to take the carburetor."
Because these cars belong to customers, he says it will be up to him to recoup their losses.
"What are you going to tell your customers," I asked him. "Well, I'm going to have to replace the losses, you know? That's all I have to do," Luis responded.
Now that's customer service.
"But to keep customers happy, you know, I'll do the impossible," Villalobos said.
But Luis is so frustrated about the few thefts this year that he is offering to pay a $500 reward out of his own pocket for information that leads to the arrest of the thieves.
If you have any information about this theft, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 888-TIPS.
