CORPUS CHRISTI - What started out as a possible case of illegal dumping is now a theft investigation involving oil field pumps worth thousands of dollars.
A viewer spotted empty boxes along Agnes that belong to a local oil field services company. We went to speak with someone at Kimray Sales and Service about the issue, but a representative quickly told us they were looking for those boxes.
Sometime last night a thief got into their location on High Starr Road and stole all the parts. It's believed the crooks just ditched the boxes after they what they wanted.
Unfortunately, all police have to go on is the serial numbers for the stolen parts.
If you have any information about the theft, call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS, or www.888tips.com.
