There's Still a Chance to Weigh in on 'PLANCC2035'

CORPUS CHRISTI - The City of Corpus Christi wants you to know it's not too late to get involved in planning for the city's future.

It is part of the city's "Plan CC 2035" initiative to develop a master plan.

KRIS-6 reported a couple of weeks ago how the social-media-savvy push features a web site, twitter handle and Facebook page.

The web site - www.plancc2035.com - features a schedule of public meetings.

At least one meeting is planned for each city council district.

The idea is to get residents plugged in and turned on to the opportunity to tell city planners what this city needs, the most.

Assistant City Manager Wes Pierson didn't have a specific number on attendance at the four public meetings held so far.

But he tells kris-6 they're off to a good start and that, as the word gets out, more people will get involved.
