Texas Rangers Track Down Man Wanted for Murder in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man wanted for murder in Corpus Christi is now back in town thanks to Texas Rangers in San Antonio.

According to police, Jose Alfredo Saldana, 25, beat a man so badly that he ended up dying from his injuries on Sunday.

The medical examiner identified the victim as Alonzo Salinas, 52, but withheld a cause of death pending an investigation by police.

Police say Salinas was first found by officers in a parking lot on the corner of S. Port Avenue and Sonora Street.

Saldana was arrested in Bexar County yesterday.
