AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Gov. Rick Perry is planning a trip to California to recruit businesses to relocate to Texas.

Perry is flying to the West Coast on Sunday after airing radio across the state this week declaring that California is a difficult place to operate a business.

California Gov. Jerry Brown has dismissed the $24,000 ad buy as insignificant in a state where millions are needed to saturate the state. The Democrat's office also cited data showing business relocations have no significant impact on either state's economy.

Perry, a Republican, will visit San Francisco, the Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and Orange County. He uses the slogan, "Texas, Wide Open for Business."

Critics in California point out that Texas has the highest percentage of workers without health insurance in the nation.
