CORPUS CHRISTI - People over a Dewey's Beer Garden enjoyed some blues tunes today at the third annual Texas Blues Festival. Organizers say they've traveled from Houston to Victoria to Corpus Christi.
They say their goal is to give bands the opportunity to get out there and play for the public when they normally may not have the resources. Next year the festival plans to make a stop in Austin; organizers say the event is growing every year.
Producer Mando Alaniz said, "we're building on the name 'Texas Blues Fest.' I figure if we're going to have a Texas blues show you might as well call it 'Texas Blues Fest.'"
