Texas A&M College Station Campus Reopens After Bomb Threat

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Officials at Texas A&M University are now allowing students and staff to return to the campus after an extensive search prompted by a bomb threat. At this time, not all buildings have reopened.
Officials say the bomb threat that forced the evacuation of everyone on campus was sent via email.
A&M Police Lt. Allan Baron says the bomb threat was received by email at around 11 a.m. Friday by the university's computing information services center.
A&M officials had initially reported that the bomb threat had been phoned in.
The school about 100 miles northwest of Houston remained shut more than five hours after the threat was received. Baron says officers planned to search all buildings on campus, a process that could take hours to complete.
School officials say Saturday's football game on campus between sixth-ranked LSU and No. 20 A&M has not been cancelled.
