PYONGYANG -- A South Korean defense ministry spokesman said North Korea could possibly detonate a "boosted fission weapon."
North Korea has threatened to attack south Korea if Seoul joined a new round of tougher United Nations sanctions, as the U.N. unveils more of its own economic restrictions.
Washington and Seoul are getting tougher with Pyongyang after North Korea's last rocket launch in December.
North Korea has declared a boycott of all dialogue aimed at ending its nuclear program and promised to conduct more rocket and nuclear tests.
