CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman attacked at the Walmart store is thankful a teenage girl came to her rescue. The girl stepped up to do what she knew she had to do at the Calallen Walmart on Saturday night.
15-year-old Breanna Lance says she saw a man trying to lift up the woman's skirt and get under her dress. She and her mother quickly made the decision to intervene, then Breanna chase down the attacker.
"I knew I could get him. I had confidence," Lance tell us.
She was with her family were getting supplies for a trip to San Antonio when this all went down.
"I just saw him with his arm over her chest and his hand lower on her body." "I was just like I need to get this guy. I need to get him," she recalls.
"I tackled him to the floor and he pushed me off, kicked me off. And I hit the shelving unit. And I have a bunch of bruises and scratches and stuff."
Lance says the victim is incredibly grateful. "No one else was doing anything besides me and my mom," says Lance. "I tried my best and I think I did the right thing."
She tells us she was able to rip off a piece of the attacker's shirt which police now have as evidence.
The suspect is a white male, early 20's, about 5'8" tall. His white pickup truck has a license plate with the last three letters of D-A-Y.
