CORPUS CHRISTI - A trip to shoot at cups at Oso Creek Park resulted in a 17-year-old girl being shot in the leg. At least, that's what the teenager and her friends told police last night when she showed up at Christus Spohn South Hospital.
Officials say they have a Ruger .22 Model 10/22 rifle in evidence as they try to find out what happened.
So far, investigators have determined that five people between the ages of 17 and 19 years of age were together when the teen was shot.
She was driven to the hospital by an 18-year-old woman.
The rifle belongs to a 17-year-old boy, according to police.
