CORPUS CHRISTI - Funeral services were held over the weekend for the 13-year-old boy who was killed in a car accident last week.
Jonathon Chapa attended Miller High School's Metro Prep program. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt when the family van was involved in a wreck at Morgan and Santa Fe Thursday evening. Chapa was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
A friend of the family may have been blinded by the sun when they drove through a red light and caused a three car crash.
