Teen Charged with Impersonating a Police Officer

CORPUS CHRISTI - A traffic accident ends with a teen in jail for pretending to be a cop.

18-year old Patrick Lee Grant is charged with impersonating a public servant and unlawful restraint.

Police say Grant tried to arrest a man following a traffic accident Monday night near Ayers Street and Ocean Drive.

We're told Grant had identified himself as a police officer and tackled the victim just before authorities got to the scene.

Police also say Grant had to two pairs of plastic handcuffs and his bicycle was decked out with red and white flashing lights.
