Teen Accused of Shooting on Southside

CORPUS CHRISTI - A teenager is jailed for an overnight shooting that left a man in critical condition.

The victim managed to call police just before 2 a.m. He told a 911 dispatcher he was shot in the chest while near the intersection of Yorktown and Lipes Boulevard.

According to police, the victim said he knows the person who shot him.

Police are not releasing the name of the teen facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

However, police say 23-year-old Raymond Bearden was with the teen and is facing charges of public intoxication and inducing nighttime curfew.
