Taser Suspect Dies Play Video

CORPUS CHRISTI - A 58-year-old Corpus Christi man who was tasered by police officers Wednesday night has died.

The police department said the man was removed from life support by doctors at Spohn South Hospital afternoon, and died a short time later. The cause of death has not been determined, pending an autopsy by the Nueces County Medical Examiner.

In the meantime, the five Corpus Christi Police Officers that were originally placed on administrative leave for their involvment in the incident that took place Wednesday night at the Wingstop in the 6300 block of Wooldridge Road are now all back on duty.

CCPD SUCK. THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN GANGBANGERS WITH A BADGE. THEY ARE LITTLE THUGS THAT HAD TO ATTACK A HOMELESS ELDERLY MAN WHO EVERYONE SAYS IS ON DRUGS. NO FORENSICS TO PROVE THAT EVEN SO WAS A PI OR DUI ON A BIKE WORTH HIS LIFE? CCPD��TOOK 5 OFFICERS TO SUBDUE HIM, CORRECTION TO KILL HIM. I THINK THAT IT IS A SAD THING THAT THEY NOT ONLY GET AWAY WITH IT THEY HAVE IDIOTS ON HERE PROTECTING THEM DAILY. THANK GOD IT WAS NOT ONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS. MILITARY TRAINING TEACHES DISCIPLINE AND HONOR, MAYBE CCPS SHOULD TRY TO GET SOME BETTER CLASS OFFICERS, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO "SERVE AND PROTECT" WELL MAYBE THEY ARE SERVING THEIR OWN INTERESTS AND PROTECTING THEIR BROTHERS IN BLUE FOR THEIR CRIMES AND ATTROCITIES... EXCITED DELIRIUM IS WHY THIS MAN HAS DECEASED... A TASER HAS 50,000 VOLTS BUT NO AMPERAGE... I'VE BEEN TASED TWICE AND IM STILL ALIVE TO TYPE THIS COMMENT... TASER IS FOR PAIN COMPLIANCE...

HELLO STUPID EVERYONE KNOW THAT IF YOU ARE HIT IN THE CHEST IT CAN KILL YOU. I THINK THESE OFFICERS JUST USED EXCESS OF FORCE. HELLO THE WERE HOW MANY OFFICERS AND THEY COULDNT HANDLE ONE MAN. OVIOUSLY NOT A VERY HEALTHY ONE AT THAT.

IT WONT KILL YOU IF YOU ARE HIT IN THE CHEST...I AM AN OFFICER, I AM CERTIFIED TO CARRY A TASER, AND I HAVE BEEN SHOT IN THE CHEST BY ONE. YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE AMPERAGE IS WHAT KILLS. THE TASER HAS NO AMPERAGE WHAT SO EVER. O YEAH, IM AN ELECTRICIAN TOO.
