HOUSTON - A tanker truck has crashed and exploded on a Houston freeway.
Authorities say the driver has been killed at the wreck on U.S. Highway 59 east of Bush Intercontinental Airport and hazardous material crews have been trying to determine the nature of the cargo.
A fire that shut both sides of the freeway has been contained and officials say the southbound lanes have been reopened.
The wreck is near the east interchange on U.S. 59 that leads to Houston's main airport.
