Taft I.S.D Employee Resigns

SINTON - We have new information on Taft school employee Roy Hinojosa, who was placed on administrative leave yesterday, after his car was found outside a motel room in Sinton.
Police say they found an underage girl with a Taft school employee in the motel room.
Today, Hinojosa resigned from his position at Taft High School.
Police have not identified the man found in the room, but 6 News did find Hinojosa's gold Dodge Charger parked outside the motel room. As we've reported, Taft I.S.D announced that Hinojosa had been placed on administrative leave because of "possible questionable activities".
We talked with Taft I.S.D Superintendent Chad Kelly about Hinojosa's car being on the scene and how it was affecting the administration.
"I think its always difficult as an administration when adults make poor choices," he says.
We tried to talk with Hinojosa at his home today, but no one answered the door.
Sinton police told us they haven't arrested anybody in connection with this case yet, but if you follow the car, it leads to the house of a band director who suddenly resigned.
