KINGSVILLE - What started as a public intoxication arrest ended in a major drug bust in Kingsville on Wednesday.
Police originally arrested 23-year old John Vasquez for public intoxication, but noticed a second person running away from the area.
Officers followed that person to an apartment on East Huisache and found 13 ounces of synthetic marijuana, scales, security cameras, a handgun, rifle, bongs, and a taser.
24-year-old Jacob Alcoser was arrested for evading arrest and drug possession. Two others connected to the case were also charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
Vasquez was later charged with drug possession when jailers found a cigar with synthetic marijuana while he was being booked.
