ROBSTOWN - A normal traffic stop for a man seen speeding in a construction zone on Highway 77 yesterday resulted in the seizure of synthetic marijuana and crack cocaine, according to the Robstown Police Department.
Police say 19-year-old Arthur Lopez of Corpus Christi stopped for the officer in the parking lot of the Robstown Motor Inn. Lopez was found to have synthetic marijuana with him in the car, plus officers say they found packets of the illegal substance in his motel room along with crack cocaine.
Investigators say they found a total of 220 grams of synthetic marijuana and $1,091 in cash. The packets of product seized appear to be the same brands found in recent raids at smoke shops in Corpus Christi and surrounding cities.
